So IT was the milk ...

I've kept clear from cow's milk these last couple of days, and boy has it made a difference! Areli took two three hour naps, and has been smiling and cooing like a little doll.
so I guess i'll just have to brace myself and drink goat (gulp) milk for a few months...
joaquin has started this new routine in which we put him in his bed and he won't stop crying until we take him out. Last night, I didn't want to give in, so he ended up throwing up from crying (or pretending to) so much. He's now watching TV with Jeff...
Juli has two loose front teeth. I can't believe my baby is so grown up! Those tiny teeth we waited for so anxiously have fulfilled their mission and they're ready to go. How amazing! i'll post a pic of him when he looses his teeth. Today we finally got Maga's trundle bed mattress, and she's now sleeping there Sleeping . She is a princess Glitter Princess .

Winter, winter

We have been having such a cold winter this year!!!! I can't stand it anymore. We don't go anywhere, even when there's sunshine because I feel like I will shrink to invisibility if I go out in this weather. When I go to the store, Iris, my dear friend, comes over to watch the kids so I don't have to take everyone with me. And it's only January ...
At least all the catalogs we receive have beautiful pictures of Spring time picnics and celebrations, sun-drenched beaches and tanned people, that I feel Spring is really just around the corner.
Last week Jeff's brother and his family came over to spend a couple of days with us. That day we went out to lunch, and on the way i got a flat tire--a destroyed tire to be exact. Well, my car has 24 in. wheels, and are custom made. So a 8 days later, I'm still without a car; and all for a flat tire. The costumer service we got at the dealer was dreadful, and Jeff and I agree that people who hate their jobs are horrible at costumer service; they irradiate unhappiness.
I've been having some hard last few days, just because of the weather and because Areli has been very fussy. Last week, when we got the flat tire and were out all day, we all got colds. The cod liver oil must be working very well because the cold only lasted for two days. But Areli hasn't been her happy self lately. Today we had a doctor's appointment and she has grown tremendously, and the doctor said that she's looking very well. However, she suggested I stop consuming dairy for a while to see if that helps at all. So we'll see.
Today Joaquin didn't want to wear diapers; silly me forgot to put one on after dinner and had to endure horrible consequences. Luckily I own a steamer and could clean up in a breeze. I'll have to remember this day in the future.
I'll have to continue another day. The boss is up from her nap...

Areli is six weeks

My baby is six weeks today, and she's 11 lbs 6 oz today! She's doubled her weight! And she's just a joy to have and to hold. Julian has been a little sick these last couple of days, but since he's been taking cod liver oil and other supplements he's recovering quite fast. Maga is really happy to go back to dance lessons, and since her class is on Mondays and there are many holidays on Mondays, they're making up classes on Wednesdays. Jeff is in Las Vegas until Thursday, right on time for his birthday.
Today we had a wonderful day, sunny and bright. It was my last visit (6week) to my midwife, Suzanne. It was a bittersweet moment because there will be no more babies for us. But I can't complain because Heavenly Father gave us four healthy beautiful kids. They're so wonderful and feel my life with light and love.

Happy new year

So 2006 is gone, and we have a brand new year to enjoy. I'm very excitd because today my friend Tamra sent us the proofs of the pics she took of our family a few days ago, and they're absolutely gorgeous! She even made a slideshow with them. Here's the link

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. We spent Christmas Eve day with Jeff's sister and her family, and then that night we went over to neighbor's. They're fromPuerto Rico, so we celebrated in Latin with pernil, arroz con gandules, pan dulce, etc. We had an awesome time. This year was extra special because we had Areli, our little angel.

The thing that I don't like of a Winter Christmas, besides the snow, is that the kids go back to school the day after New Year Day!!!! That's terrible. It makes the Holidays seem so much shorter. Oh well! I'm just waiting for Juli to come back from school. He's trying the school bus again today, to see of he likes it. If he doesn't, I'll just pick him up again every day.
